Ferdinand Costerman Boodt | Chief measurer FJ Europeans 2020
Highly skilled dinghy sailor and builder
Finding a good an independent Chief Measurer is always a hassle. With Ferdinand we are quite sure to have found the right person for the job. With an age 0f 62 years Ferdinand has an impressive track record in dinghy Sailing and building. He sailed Mirror dinghy, Solo, 470, J22, J24 and Tornado, in which last class he has been member of the Dutch Olympic team for two years. He became Dutch Champion in Mirror an J24 and French and Swiss Champion in the Vaurien. He extensively trained to participate in the Mini Transat, but unfortunately got not the opportunity to sail it, due to his tight holiday schedule as a pilot at Transavia airlines.
Master in class Rules
Maybe even more impressive than his sailing resume is the building resume of Ferdinand. He has built Optimist, Mirror Dinghy, Solo and even a 12 foot dinghy himself, which all were more than competitive. Currently he is refitttng a Contessa 26 and hopefully is next project will be the building of the ultimate Flying Junior.
We are very glad that Ferdinand joins our team, because above all he’s a very amicable guy, who is firm but fair.
